Stuart has been in the automotive business for over 30 years. In 1977, he managed the family’s business, the Australian Battery Company. The company specialized in manufactured, wholesale and retail automotive batteries. The business quickly expanded across Australia until being sold in 1995. In 1991, the family business diversified into Club Assist supporting motoring clubs.  Stuart headed up many different departments during the early years and moved to North America for two years to head up the North American expansion in 2001.  Stuart was promoted to CEO of Club Assist in 2006.

Alex Leombruni

Alex commenced with Club Assist in 2000. Alex’s experience includes 9 years with SmithKline Beecham where he occupied the position of Finance Manager for both the pharmaceutical and consumer operations in Australia. Prior to that, Alex was head of finance and management accounting for Country Road Australia. Alex has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), is a member of CPA Australia and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Steve joined Club Assist in June 2010. Steve has an operational and customer service delivery background, with extensive cross divisional experience, having held a number of key roles over the last 12 years at NRMA Motoring & Services. These roles included Head of Business Motoring, General Manager of Roadside Operations and more recently, General Manager of Membership & Distribution. Steve has a graduate diploma in Business Management and a post graduate in Change Management.

Owen Gilbert

Owen began his career in 1983 with Deloitte Haskin & Sells with various audit roles in Johannesburg and Sydney followed by Chief Accountant at Clyde Agriculture Limited. Owen then went on to SCITEC Limited as Executive Director of Finance and in 1996 joined the Commonwealth Bank as Chief Manager of Planning. Owen previously from The NRMA held a number of key roles within the company including Executive Manager of Finance Strategy, Chief Financial Officer, General Manager Roadside, General Manager Roadside, General Manager Commercial, Acting CEO of Thrifty, CEO NRMA MotorServe and previously  Executive General Manager, Motoring ServicesOwen was born in South Africa and graduated from Rhodes University with a Bachelor of Commerce followed by a post graduate certificate in the Theory of Accountancy. Owen moved from South Africa to Sydney in 1986 and was qualified as an Australian Chartered Accountant in 1987.

In 2002, after more than 10 years as a partner of an Australian law firm, Bruce Adams took up the position of Club Assist’s General Counsel. Bruce is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Club Assist’s legal affairs and for protecting Club Assist’s legal interests. Bruce has over 20 years experience as a commercial lawyer.

John Tutt

John joined Club Assist Corporation as Vice President of Auto Glass in April 2008. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he established Auto Glass Operations in both Australia and New Zealand. In 2010, he was appointed to Vice President, Global Business Development and in July 2013, John was appointed as Executive Vice President of Club Assist North America based in Orlando, Florida.  John serves on five Board of Directors representing Club Assist Joint Venture businesses. Prior to joining Club Assist, John was with the Royal Automotive Club (RAC) of the UK for 11 years. He was the Head of Roadside Operations for six years and Operations Director at RAC Auto Windscreens for five years. John also holds an MBA from Warwick University in the UK.

Bert Stellinga

Bert has worked in the automotive industry for 20 years as a MD for multinational companies in the tire industry as well as at Continental, growing their business through investments and development of teams in supply chain, marketing, IT and logistics.

Bert holds a degree in International Marketing and has lived and worked in the United Kingdom for six years whilst running the local organization for Dutch tire manufacturer, Vredestein.
