On July 20th Club Logistics Services launched towing services for the AAA Auto Club Group, servicing the Chicago market. In a soft launch, Club Logistics Services provided towing for 127 ERS calls, and one light service call, in the first week of service, utilizing their three 2015 Dodge 5500 flatbed tow trucks.
It is estimated that Club Logistics Services will respond to approximately 13,000 tow calls within this Club’s footprint over the next 12 months.
Three additional flatbed tow trucks will be added by the end of August. Flatbeds offer more versatility for hauling, especially with exotic and low clearance vehicles, by giving tow truck drivers the ability to hinge the low section of the carrier deck, when needed.
The six tow service trucks will work within the AAA ACG North fleet to not only provide towing, but also lend support for Club Assist Road Service (CARS) light service vehicles during high call volume periods. Long term plans for Club Logistics Services include offering Mobile Battery Service support during busy times by stocking tow trucks with popular batteries.
Club Logistics Services is available to AAA/CAA Clubs as a full service towing model or a road service towing model.
